Our food
The Plough has long been noted for the excellent
quality and value of its meals, why? Because we have an expert and
imaginative chef and we only use the best quality, fresh, local
produce. None of our meals are microwaved from processed or frozen
foods - and you can really tell the difference.
Our food serving times are lunch :12.00 - 2.30 all
week and 12- 5 on saturdays and 12 - 5 on sundays in either room
and in the evenings 6-8.30. We have now merged the two menus so
that you can now eat in the bar too. We can get very busy, so it
is always advisable to book in advance for evening meals, especially
on weekends.
Of course as our meals are cooked freshly with local
produce the menus change frequently - daily in fact - and so it
is impossible to keep the current menu up to date on the website.
Below is a example menu as of Summer 2010 - however it will have
changed a little by the time you visit us.
On wednesday nights we now hold a steak night
with either a 10z sirloin or 10oz rump steak available with all
the trimmings for £10. There are also fish and vegetarian
selections and desserts are only £2 each.
