Real Ales

The Plough is renowned for the variety and most importantly quality of the real ales and ciders served here. Kept perfectly by Alistair Jones, our real ale expert, each and every pint is to be savoured. That's why we get into the Good Beer Guide year after year.

We always serve Wye Valley Hereford Pale Ale (HPA), Bass and Otley O1 (Locally brewed in Pontypridd) as our three house ales.

We also keep up to half a dozen guest ales on at any one time. Either hand-drawn from the cellar or straight from one of the five casks lined up behind the bar. We do try to keep at least one local ale on at all times but sometimes it's difficult to keep up with demand!

You can also take your beer or cider away with you in a 2 pint container too!

Wines

We have personally selected a range of fabulous wines from all over the world that not only compliment our food superbly but also represent these countries at their best.

We also have a wine of the month available by the glass

Ciders

The recent revival in interest in cider brought about by Magners in the summer of 2006 has led to the introduction of a much improved line of traditional ciders straight from the cellar. Proving popular at all times of the year these ciders (and perries) really are something a little special.
